2018 Feast Day

The Feast Day will be held on Monday 27th August (Bank Holiday Monday).

This year we will be holding the Feast again at 1pm to 5pm on the Sports Ground… following our success in 2016. We hope the weather will be favourable again for us.

Our thanks go to the Sports Field committee who are allowing us again us to use the sports field. One point to remember please… no dogs on the sports field (except assistance dogs).

There will be a shuttle bus running between the market square, sports ground, and the station car park. We have arranged that parking at the station will be free on Monday while the Feast events are running (from 1:00pm to 5:00pm).

In 2018, we are hoping to include (amongst other events):

  • Feas Pudn judging
  • Birds of Prey, flying – sponsored by Lawrence Tremayne
  • live music
  • real ale
  • Pimms tent
  • BBQ
  • Pig Roast
  • Punch and Judy
  • Fun Fair rides
  • Marbles challenge
  • Archery
  • Welly Wanging
  • Frog Racing!

The Feas Pudn is Long Buckby’s traditional pudding. Entry forms will be available later at the Peephole. If you want to find out more information about the Fees Pudn, please read the history and recipe:- Feas Pudn info and recipe
