2019 Garage sale – review

The Garage Sale and Scarecrow Trail were held on Sunday 25th August.

It was a really hot day, and there were a lot of people in the village on the day… probably about 1000.

In addition to the Garage sales, we had plants for sale from WBLA (Whilton and Buckby Locks Ass) supporters, Ice creams for sales from Junction 18, and refreshments from the URC. Many thanks for all their contributions.

This year we ran the Garage Sale for the second time.

Many thanks to Hilary Tibbs for organising such a great event.

We had 37 sellers around the village, and the event was enjoyed by many, many buyers. A total of nearly £650 was raised from sales of maps, garage opening fees, URC teas and some additional donations. All the proceeds go to the Feast funds for the benefit of the village.

The majority of the garages had a good day. However, the weather was hot, maybe too hot, towards the end of the day.

We hope that the Garage Sales will be a regular event in the future.

We will post some pictures of the event if they become available.
